Does it matter if my child dances for an audience?

Your child is approaching a performance opportunity. Do you let them take part? Is it the right thing to do? They are so little!

The first thing to consider is the type of performance that your child is taking part in. A good first experience is to be had in a positive family atmosphere, where the audience is made up primarily of family members who are there to encourage the children. The confidence to be gained from a round of applause is HUGE!

Dont worry about them getting nervous. Little ones are rarely nervous about going on stage when they are in a group of children, experienced teachers will make it an exciting adventure, and your little one will come out brimming with a sense of achievement!
